Planting little miracles
I planted over 100 plants last weekend. And today I got ground cloth and some organic herbicide. We’ll see how successful I am with keeping the weeds knocked down. I’m somewhat worried about how slippery the ground cloth will be. Hopefully I’ll be able to walk up and down the rows without breaking my neck.
The temperatures is supposed to get up to 90 degrees F this Friday/Saturday. I’m hoping that the new growth doesn’t get scorched.
More later.
Weeding and more weeding!
What helped me most this time is that I bought one of those garden claws last week at Tuesday Morning for $5.99. It’s giving me a great workout, and my border is starting to look like something other than a mass of weeds. I recommend them to all lazy gardeners.
All the plants seem fine!
This morning I’m feeling relieved that I did bring them in because the overnight low temperature here was 24 degrees F. I don’t know if that would kill them, but I’m glad that I didn’t take a chance. I have a few plants that I didn’t bring in, just as an experiment. They look alright, but the surface of their soil is still hard as ice. I’ll have to take another look at them this afternoon. I know they’d be alright if they were in the ground, but in pots…..?
This is one of the things that I hate about farming~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
